Executive Director, Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Memphis

For the Memphis market of a national Community Development Financial Institution, our client seeks an an Executive Director, with deep roots in the community. Successful candidate will be CEO of the Memphis market. Seeking a long time Memphian with the respect, relationships and credibility to bridge competing interests, including how best to address ongoing issues around racial equity. Executive Director must bring urban community development experience, along with advocacy, lending and fundraising. Successful candidate will have an understanding of the role of mixed use investment and affordable housing stock — without causing gentrification — to spearhead the organization’s leadership in closing the health, wealth and opportunity gap in Memphis. We seek candidates who reflect the community served.
